Overview

With Tempest, you can flexibly organize your software with labels and classifications.

Labels

Labels are a flat collection of topics that can be applied to any Resource, Recipe, Project, Team, or Person. They can also be color coordinated for scannability. You can create labels under Governance > Labels or create them in line anywhere they can be assigned, for instance, on a Resource, Recipe, or Project.

Classifications

Classifications are a hierarchical collection of topics that can be applied to any Resource, Recipe, Project, Team, or Person. Classifications are found under Governance > Classifications. Tempest provides a common set of classifications out of the box that includes:

• Compliance: Common compliance frameworks
  • CCPA
  • GDPR
  • ISO 27001
  • SOC 2
• Criticality: Where in the critical path of your business the software sits
  • Critical
  • High
  • Medium
  • Low
• Security: The impact of the software on your security posture
