Clear ownership is fundamental to maintaining a healthy software catalog. Whether you’re planning future development, responding to incidents, or managing costs, knowing exactly who is responsible for each component is crucial. Effective ownership tracking can:
Reduce incident response times
Improve resource allocation
Strengthen accountability
Enhance cross-team collaboration
Managing Ownership
Tempest provides ownership management at two key levels:
Resource Ownership : Resources can be assigned to specific owners who are responsible for their management and maintenance
Project Ownership : Projects can be assigned owners who oversee the overall project and its resources
Types of Owners
Authors

Teams
Teams provide organized ownership structures for projects and recipes:
Collection of users with shared responsibilities
Can be assigned to multiple projects and recipes
Each team can designate a Team Lead
Team Leads serve as primary points of contact
Lead contact information is displayed in project details
