Deploy a project
In Tempest, a project bundles various resources into one service. Developers use recipes set up by platform admins to build these projects. Tempest then handles provisioning and orchestrating resources as per the recipe's setup.
Walkthrough
Follow these steps to deploy your project.
- In the lefthand navigation, go to Projects, then Discover.
- Click Create Project.
- Select a recipe from the catalog. These recipes are predefined by your platform administrator with the organization’s standards.
- Complete basic project information:
- Title: Name for the project.
- Team: Relevant owner for the project.
- Tags and classifications: Add necessary tags or classifications for better discovery and organization.
- Configure project settings: This varies by recipe. Start by creating a new GitHub repository or selecting an existing one.
- New repository: Ensure GitHub integration is set up.
- Existing repository: Select the appropriate repository.
- Review project details and configuration.
- Select Create Project.
Manage your deployed project
After the project is created, you will be redirected to the new Project page. From here, you can actively monitor the status of all resources that are being provisioned or are already provisioned. Tempest will handle the orchestration and provisioning of resources based on the Recipe's configuration.
This page will show:
- The list of resources involved in the project.
- Status updates for resources being created or updated.
